Brushing and flossing are essential for maintaining oral health, preventing plaque buildup, and ensuring long-lasting results for your smile.
Brushing Teeth
For proper brushing, use a soft-bristled toothbrush or an electric toothbrush with fluoride toothpaste. Hold the brush at a 45-degree angle to the gum line and use gentle, circular motions on the outer surfaces of your teeth. Clean each tooth individually with back-and-forth strokes. For inner surfaces, tilt the brush vertically and use up-and-down strokes. Don’t forget to brush the chewing surfaces using firm, short strokes. Spend at least two minutes brushing, ensuring you reach all areas, and rinse thoroughly when done.

Flossing Teeth
For effective flossing, use about 18 inches of dental floss, wrapping most around your pointer fingers, leaving a couple of inches to work with. Hold the floss tightly between your thumbs and forefingers, gently sliding it between your teeth. Curve the floss into a “C” shape against each tooth and slide it under the gum line. Move the floss up and down to clean both sides. Use a clean section for each tooth and floss behind your back teeth. Flossing helps remove plaque, prevents gum disease, and promotes fresher breath. After flossing, rinse to remove loosened debris.
